To play and win a Blackjack game takes a good calculation and strategy in place. The Basic Strategy comprises of the knowledge when to hit, stand, split, double down, surrender or take insurance. There is actually nothing basic in these except for the names. These strategies work thoroughly by the statistical analysis. The Basic Strategy suggests a set of moves that result in the chance of winning money for a long term. This applies to each combination of cards. This strategy proves to be most effective if one adheres and follows it strictly and consistently. Let’s take example that can give a little more insight – splitting and doubling down are as crucial for the game like hitting and standing. The dealer’s up card is the most crucial deciding factor for the strategy. So it is better to look at that in the first place. This is one of the Blackjack strategy.

Let’s start the second strategy for the Blackjack game. If you have 11 points or less it can be hit safely. Sometimes these can be played for a split or double down. It is good that when you have an Ace use it as a 1 or 11-point card and can be changed during the game. It is best not to hit when you have 17 points or more. In this case the only exception will be a “soft 17” where an Ace card is included and count as a 11 point to create the total. Hitting at “soft 17”, by the dealer, is a rule in most of the Las Vegas Strip casino games.

The calculator is a customizable one and can be used for making strategies at different level of decks.

“Hitting and Standing” strategy is one of the Blackjack game strategis. The basic hitting and standing strategy says “Hit at anything below 12 and Stand at anything above 16”. If you have points between 12 and 16 – hit if the dealer has a point value between 7 and Ace (11) and stand when it’s below 7.

There is another strategy called “Hitting and Standing with soft totals”. A soft total is the total made out of an Ace and another value card. It was mentioned earlier that Ace can have 1 or 11 point. Now the strategy says that if you have an ace without a 10 value card, you can either hit when the soft total is 17 or less points or stand if the soft total is 19 or 20. When the dealer has a 4 or 5, then it’s good to double if the soft total is 17 or less.
